On a holder-rewards coin, the creator's whole half of the fees (0.40% of every trade at a 1% fee) goes to the people who hold it.

The creator chooses at launch
Half of what's left of every fee after Meteora's cut goes to the creator, unless they choose holder rewards. That choice is permanent.

Splice holds the creator's side
For a holder-rewards coin, Splice's holder vault is set as the pool's creator, so the creator's fees can only be claimed by the vault.

Paid by tokens held x time
Every 10 minutes the vault notes who holds what. Every 6 hours it pays the pot out in SOL by tokens held x time held, so buying just before a payout earns almost nothing. Every claim and payout is on-chain.
Today: Splice runs on Solana devnet. Holder-rewards coins already route their fees to the vault; automatic payouts start with mainnet.
